Art-A-Whirl RECAP & New Local Art

On May 15th Moth Oddities participated in ART-A-WHIRL! Art-A-Whirl is an open studio tour that has taken place in Northeast Minneapolis for the last 20 years. It is the largest open studio tour in the country and provides a great opportunity to visit private artist studios and galleries, connect with the artists, and purchase original artwork.

During the Art-A-Whirl weekend Moth Oddities had a booth set up at the Dangerous Man Brewing Co. NE Beer Garden party. The party was hosted by Chowgirls Killer Catering, Fairstate Brewing, Sociable Cider Werks, and Northgate Brewing. They had local artist vendors curated by Gumball Collective, food from Lulu's Street Food and Tiki Tim's, and live music on the Electric Fetus Stage. The party was a TON of fun. It was a beautiful day to be outside, sip on a beer, and listen to the live local music. Thanks to everyone who came by our booth to support us. It was great to meet and chat with you all!

The Moth Oddities booth was packed full of rad vintage pieces, recycled fashion, and local art. Many of our Contributing Artists added MORE items to our collection specially for the event. Below are a few of our favorites that were on display. These pieces will be added soon to the SHOP!

As Moth Oddities is just under a year old, we are still learning the ins and outs of owning an online retail shop, as well as how to promote our collections in "real life." It's been an honor to be able to host pop-up shops at amazing events around the Twin Cities. Here are some snaps from earlier this spring at the I AM FABULOUS event hosted by Sarah Edwards at the Varsity Theater and the Home is Where the Art Is event hosted by our friends Dustin Cox and Anna Sinclair.

Can't wait for future pop-up shop collaborations. It's always a pleasure meeting those who buy our products and knowing that each piece is going to be loved, worn, and brought back to life!

Thanks for reading, enjoy the sun!
