Art-A-Whirl 2017

Moth Oddities recently participated in ART-A-WHIRL for our second year at the Acowsay Cinema Studio! ART-A-WHIRL is an epic artist studio tour that occurs in Northeast Minneapolis every spring. It is currently the largest studio tour in the country.

Ian Babineau is a graphic artist and illustrator who creates prints and zines with his risograph printer, a digital spot color duplicator made in Japan circa 1980. He studied printing and design in an apprenticeship style program at Aesthetic Apparatus. Check out Ian's upcoming gallery showing at Norseman Distillery from June 26th - July 10th.

Suzy Cyr creates beautiful, handmade macrame wall hangings and plant holders. We like to call her the 'macrame-ker'!

Sister Honey Floral Co. is a floral design company owned by Katie Horvath. Katie designs with a loose, organic style and tries to tether the wild tendencies of nature in her arrangements. At ART-A-WHIRL, Katie made fresh floral crowns from foraged blooms.

BET Vodka is a premium-pour vodka made from the hearts of sugar beets from a cooperative farm in the Midwest. BET Vodka partnered with MY SISTER during our ART-A-WHIRL event for a donation-based Bloody Mary bar! Not only were the Bloodies delicious, all of the proceeds benefited MY SISTER's non-profit partner, MN Girls Are Not For Sale, which fights to minimize commercial sexual exploitation.

The Bloody Mary bar was complete with salty snacks provided by Isadore Nut Company & sweet treats from Amy's Cupcake Shoppe.

Thanks to everyone who came to ART-A-WHIRL and visited the pop-up! It was so nice to see everyone who came through. We really appreciate your continued support for Moth Oddities & the local creative community.
